22 Years Of Living Life

Holy crow. I cannot believe I am twenty  two already! I know I know so young.

I probably  should have made this post before my birthday, but hey it's here now:

I should probably mention I have been thinking for so long about this but I have decided I want to make my 22nd year my healthiest. By that I mean the clean eating, good body, going to the gym,  take a shower daily, and get pampered on a regular.

Right now is peak week with birthdays between mine and my husband so I wont start until next week but these are somethings that I want for my new healthy life style:

1-2-3-4-5-6-7

1. Nikon One Mirrorless Camera: I have wanted a new camera for ages, especially since getting pregnant and having MK. I love my iphone5 don't get me wrong but it isn't the same as a nice camera. Call me old fashion but I just find they get better pictures and I wouldn't get that damn purple glare.

2 & 6: Nike Air Max: I love me some Nikes! Seriously have been asking for these since Steve and I got together. Two has beautiful cheetah print (obsessed) and 6 has a custom design. Can you tell bright green is just one of my favorite colors.

3: Nike Pro Gear: I love love love the whole nike pro line. I went to the nike retail outlet back in September and scored some amazing stuff. But I found that the fabric and breathability was just beyond amazing. Not to mention the color is beautiful.

4. Beats By Dre: I have an iphone with no music but want headphones. Because seriously who doesn't get amped up by music. I would love love love to rock these in the gym!

5. Denali Hooded North Face: Because I threw up in mine after eating Ihop while still pregnant.  Feel free to laugh. It was in the pockets and everything. Sometimes you just can't control where you barf.

7. Project Life Baby Girl Edition: I came across project life back in October and was immediately in love. I had started a baby book for MK but didn't keep up with it or blogging but I sure as heck take lots of pictures of her! At that time they didnt have the baby editions which they came out with in December. ( I had secretly been hoping hubby would by this for me for Christmas but no luck.:( )

Things Not Listed:
8.  Gym Membership: I not only want to get in shape but I want to go to the gym and hubby be my work out partner!

9.Supplements and Clean foods: Can't get ripped with out these

10. Support and Love: Stick with me.....

Monday Mom Blogger: Motherland Rants

So this is it right? Me sticking to my resolution to blog more, then yes yes it is.

So I have decided to do a monday feature of other mother bloggers! Might not be every Monday but on a Monday no less.

My first feature is Shawna of Motherland Rants.

I absolutely love Shawna's blogging style and the mom herself!

I found Shawna on instagram and she has been a great mommy support and friend since.

Her son Jordan is absolutely the most precious boy I have ever seen (NO exaggeration necessary). But her blogging is completely open. Everything from her past, having Jordan, and her new hubby Justin. She doesn't follow the traditional momma blogger style which seems to apparently be copying and posting everything from Little Baby Garvin.

Shawna may not have had the easiest path, okay lets be frank the strength she projects is amazing.  I believe Shawna displays a great deal of hope where you can  look at her and say, she did it and so can I.

So go get it girl. Finish the degree, raise a baby super star, make the world smell WAY better, be a great wife, and crush your goals. You can do it!

Finally A Six Month Update

Has it really been six months already? It is insane how quickly time flies, but even more insane I am already thinking about her first birthday party!

I had been waiting for MK's six month appointment before I posted her update, which happened on this  past Friday.

Our Little Sweetie A Look Into This Month:
Height: 26 Inches.
Weight: 17 lb 1oz. ( 1lb Change from Last Month)
Head Circumference: 43 (cm?)

Tried First Solid Food: Bananas on February 2nd 2013.
Tried Second Solid Food: Sweet Potato on February 4th 2013.
Tried Third Solid Food: Peaches on February 16th 2013.

We decided to bypass giving her rice, which has zero nutrients and has been in numerous studies showing the possibility of it leading to an increase in childhood obesity. I will link the sites for those who want it at another time. As far as her going with the solid foods she absolutely loves bananas and sweet potatoes. Jury is still out on whether she likes peaches or not. Each time she has tried peaches it has been after a bottle and doesn't seem interested.
While we are on that there is some other news. MK has some serious regression when it came to sleep. We were no longer enjoying a nice nights rest with MK waking up every 1.5-2 hours. I wasn't sure what to do because she was one hundred percent breast and just the food. I realized that maybe she was not getting enough to eat so we decided to try some formula. We started with enfamil. She absolutely hated it. Would not drink it, so it was back to breast. So I turned to some other mommies out there and asked for their advice. Lots responded about different ways to get my supply up as well as ways to get her to take formula.
Last Wednesday I was put on antibiotics which meant MK had to go to bottle fed because my breast milk from the tap would no longer be good for her at least while on the meds. So we went and picked up a different formula, she took a little but wasn't thrilled. Cue the heartbreak of not being able to feed your poor hungry baby. But then my mom suggested some sugar and water mixed in (if you have an opinion on this feel free to keep it to yourself. It wasn't large quantities.) MK took the bottles from there on after, while I sat pumping away. I ended up pumping on three times a day because let's be honest who has the time to sit there and pump  AND take care of a six month old. But then I noticed, even with my lessened pumping I was still only producing 2-3 oz per breast at each pump. MK was taking 6-8 oz of formula per bottle at her feedings and was still hungry after some of those! What really set it in for me was the first night she slept like normal. The second night we got four hours between each feeding. The third night she slept from 10pm to 6am and same for the fourth night. Leading us to today. As a mom I feel a great deal of pressure to continue breast feeding my baby and believe me I would love to and yes I have not tried everything to boost my supply. But when you have a baby who slept through the night for the first time in two months after being able to do so for four months, it almost gives you a new perspective. It breaks my heart to give her the bottles but at the same time, it makes my day to see her wake up happy and talkative first thing in the morning. Have I mentioned she has taken wonderful naps during the day as well now?

So I am not sure whether I will continue to breast feed or not. I mean yes it is a less cost and to top it off the special moment I get to share with her. But her being able to eat from the bottle allows us a little more freedom as to who gets to feed her (which most of the time is still me.... thats right hubby I said it). Though I am honestly leaning more towards formula.

I have over five thousand photos of this little girl. I am sure the video could be much much longer.

Now to enjoy the moment.

So About That

Not that I am failing at my resolutions but darn I wish I have blogged more.

Actually have been sick for a bit with having trouble with food allergies and such.

But I can't help to want to share my lovely baby's valentine from this year....

Oh Hey 2013.

Well there they are. I think seven is a good goal to set. Should I explain further?

1. Well I mean who doesn't want to be a better person? I don't just want to be a better me. I want to be a better mother, daughter, wife, sister, grand daughter, niece, step mom.

2.  I have been craving ( yes I will say craving here) to do a blog. I had one through out my pregnancy and kept it up about a month after. What I never thought was that my blog would be in public view especially after being featured on Spearmint Baby.  I had sincerely been a whiner during my pregnancy, mostly because well I was pregnant and my husband was gone. But with the new found popularity I found myself obnoxious and felt like I had let too many details out. So I hid the blog and stopped. But now with my husband home (not that I have any more time) I want to start my blogging back up. Especially for my daughter. I want her to look back and see that I kept records, which is more than I can say for any baby book.

3. Okay this is just a work in progress. But you remember the be a better person resolution, yeah that one number one. I want to pay it forward. Once I complete my certification I am going to hold a contest for 5 people who's lives would be incredibly benefited from having a complete lifestyle change. These five people will receive my personal training for free for 6 MONTHS.  That is more than enough to get them started on a healthier path.

4. Cough Cough. I am just a procrastinator. Next fall it is!

5. I got a call from my grandma today and it made me think back to when the last time I talked to her was. It was just before she had heart surgery in the beginning of December. I barely talked to her after. I could say a million excuses  like my getting my first house or my husband coming home or moving, but none would ever be good enough to excuse not keeping in touch with loved ones.

6. Craft. Craft. Craft. I am pinterest addicted. And yeah I have seen the other mommy posts about either not wanting to fall into the 'Newborn First Time Mom Got to Be Martha Stewart' or the ' I see all these people doing it so I want to'.  But I can't say I am any better but I do really like to craft and always have. So you can look forward to many tutorials as I go about crafts.

7. Always seek the truth, push to be better, and remember you are only human.
